Implementation and methods of teaching

An self-study online course directed to Open LAB (especially upper school students). The topics of the course cover the social and health care sector, tourism and hospitality, business administration and technology. The assignments are divided separately for short and long syllabus mathematics, but a student can choose tasks from both sections according to their level and interest. Besides the real-life exercises, the course also offers tasks for mechanical training. In these tasks, the student is guided in the right direction with immediate feedback

This course consists of part A and B (each 1.5cr) and they can be studied separately. Part A focus on the first year mathematics and part B for the second and the third year mathematics.

Timing and attendance

The course is available for three years (= "upper secondary school") and it can be studied at own pace.

Exam retakes

No exams.

Learning environment

The course is available in LAB Open, so enrolling to LAB Open is required to get user-id.

Contents

Curriculum of Finnish upper secondary school mathematics with real-life mathematical exercises.

Assessment criteria

The weighted exercises give scores and total scores define, when the course is passed.
