Learning outcomes

The student is able to
• Guide clients in mobility, safe transitions, and everyday activities
• With a client-centred approach, assess the need for assistive devices as well as the accessibility and functionality of living and work environments
• Plan client-centred modifications to living and work environments

Implementation and methods of teaching

In the study course, you study independently and under the guidance of a teacher in online workshops (Zoom), home campuses and in real working life situations.

Independent study includes preliminary tasks and learning tasks.

Timing and attendance

Weeks 34-44.

The course requires attendance. The student is independently responsible for studying the content of any missed sessions. The student demonstrates their competence through a proficiency test and a skills demonstration."

It is not possible to participate in the training classes on campus via Zoom.

The learning events are displayed on the Moodle platform of the course.

Learning material and recommended literature

The material can be found on the Moodle platform.

The course does not require you to buy literature for yourself.

Working life cooperation

The course includes an accessibility assessment conducted in a real work or operational environment.

Instructions for performing the accessibility assessment are provided during contact teaching
