Learning outcomes

The student is able to

Implementation and methods of teaching
The course will consist of online learning assignments as well as in-class lessons. The focus of the lessons will be on spoken interaction and practicing the appropriate terminology. Independent study focusing on preparing for lessons, written tasks and vocabulary learning.
Timing and attendance
Autumn term of 2023. Attendance required on 80% of the lessons.

Contents
The course will aim to familiarize students with the core vocabulary needed in the basic operations of the tourism and hospitality industry. The topics that will be included are:
- job hunting
- customer service
- workplace communication
- tourism, restaurant and hotel terminology

Assessment criteria
Continuous assessment, no final exam. Several compulsory assignments to be completed on the course, more information at the start of the course.
