Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- describe the principles of an integrated ERP system
- use the SAP ERP system in a company’s order/supply chain management

Implementation and methods of teaching

During the contact sessions students practise SAP S/4HANA ERP system independently by using Global Bike Inc exercises and case studies.

Timing and attendance

Course includes 7 contact sessions. Attendance at sessions is 60% compulsory. Course starts on week 9 with a pre-assignment, contact sessions are between weeks 10-16.

SAP S/4 HANA Global Bike Inc. materials in Moodle-platform.

Alternative completion methods

If you have previous experience on using SAP S/4HANA ERP System you can also perform tasks independently by agreeing with the supervisors.

Learning environment

During the contact sessions students practise SAP S/4HANA ERP system independently by using Global Bike Inc learning environment.

Student time use and work load

Contact sesssions 25% , independent work 75%.

Contents

The module focuses on explaining the principles of an integrated SAP S/4HANA ERP system through detailed exercises and case studies (SD Sales and Distribution, MM Material Management, FI Financing, CO Controlling and HCM Human Resource Management) by using SAP ERP system. The module fosters a thorough understanding of each process and underlying SAP ERP functionality. Through practical exercises, the student becomes aware of and is able to use an integrated SAP S/4HANA ERP System. Through different roles taken in the case studies (e.g. sales agent, warehouse worker, accounting clerk) the processes will foster understanding of the entire management processes in the company.
