Learning outcomes

Implementation and methods of teaching

4 - 6 weeks (8 weeks maximum)
You will learn to:

Create a 1:5 scale clay model vehicle as a pair - then scan into digital data.

Timing and attendance

Introduction to modelling and prototyping methods and tools.
Forming groups, vehicle choices, planning the armature.
Design and construction of model armature (buck) from foam and wood.

Week 2.
Design and construction of model armature (buck) from foam and wood.
Loading clay onto models.

Week 3.
Loading clay. Introduction to tools for modelling.
Sculpting of scale models

Week 4.
Sculpting of scale models

Week 5.
Sculpting of scale models

Week 6.
Digital transfer of data (3D Scanning)
Dressing of clay models with Dynoc wrap (optional)
