Toteutustapa ja opetusmenetelmät
There will be no lectures but personal guiding for each group with their design project.
There will be four obligatory checkpoints where team members have to introduce their progress to teacher. In final checkpoint teams introduce their results also to other groups.

Aim of the course is that during and after finishing the course student will
- learn how to apply theoretical knowledge into real life engineering case.
- understand better real life demands for mechanical engineering
- get experience for working in multidisciplinary and international group
- apply knowledge of different mechanical engineering areas into one specific project
Student can propose their own topic for the project or the topic will be given by local companies. Students will form groups (1-4 persons) and they have to
- create project plan with clear targets and schedule
- solve the given engineering task
- participate project meetings and report their progress
- write final report
Arviointimenetelmät
Students have to fulfill given demands and write a report within scheduled time.
Grade will consist of results of checkpoints.
Team members will also evaluate each other.

Student works for the project. Student will follow all given schedules. Results and report for the given engineering problems are acceptable.

Student has good attitude for the project. Co-operation with other students and staff works well. Student will follow all given schedules exactly. Solutions for the engineering problem are mostly functional. Final presentation and final report are clear.
