- Perceive different themes and forms of tourism
- Describe customers´ motives and their consistence to the contents of the SIT-tourism
- Integrate tourism trends to the forms and contents of the SIT-tourism
- Evaluate personal skills as a producer on different kinds of SIT-tourism forms
- Plan contents for the clients on different themes of SIT-tourism
- Benefit local resources through responsibility and participate on producing different forms of SIT-tourism forms
- Improve personal skills and competences in the field of SIT-tourism

Implementation and methods of teaching

Online teaching mainly with discussion and learning tasks that take place in lectures, which are preceded by a preliminary quiz and a post-lecture reflection task

Timing and attendance

ATTENDANCE AT ONLINE LECTURES IS MANDATORY. A possible absence can be made up for by a substitute assignment given by the teacher.

The size of the course is 27 hours per credit point, i.e. 81 hours.
The course lasts 13 weeks, or about 6.5 hours a week.

Join us on an exciting journey into the world of theme tourism! This 3-credit online course "Special Interest Tourism - Possibilities of Theme Tourism" offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into nature and cultural tourism.

The course focuses on:
- To study different theme groups and themes of tourism.
- To analyze the customers' motives and the contents of theme tourism.
- For combining current travel trends and theme tourism.
- For planning creative and responsible tourism products.

Participants develop their expertise in different areas of theme tourism through practical tasks and webinars. Come along and take your skills to a new level!

The evaluation scale is 0 to 5
All parts must be completed successfully in order to pass the course

Passing the quizzes before the lectures - 15% of the grade
Task 1 - 17.5% of the grade
Task 2 - 17.5% of the grade
Task 3 - 17.5% of the grade
Task 4 - 17.5% of the grade
Active participation in lectures - 15% of the grade

Does not show understanding of the subject. Answers and assignments need to be completed or corrected. The reflection is absent or very shallow. Participation in lectures and discussions is very little or completely absent and has not done supplementary assignments. Has not returned all assignments or received a passing grade.

Demonstrates basic understanding and analytical skills. The reflection is superficial and deals with the subject on a simple level. There are some errors or omissions in the tasks and answers. Participation in lectures and discussions is occasional.

Demonstrates good understanding and ability to analyze the subject. The reflection is comprehensive and deals with the topic in more depth. The tasks and answers are clear, consistent and for the most part error-free. Participation in lectures and discussions is regular and active.

Demonstrates excellent understanding and analytical skills. The reflection is deep, critical and versatile. The tasks and answers are well-reasoned and error-free. Participation in lectures and discussions is very active and consistent, and the student contributes significantly to the discussions.
