Objective
The student becomes acquainted with the concept of Business Intelligence (BI). The student understands what analytics and data visualization mean and how analytics is linked to the development of the financial management industry. The course also considers how analytics creates customer value. The course introduces data and its forms, databases and data warehouses, as well as the concept of Big Data. In addition, data science and the requirements and analysis methods of a data analyst's work are introduced. The student understands how data is utilized in business and what kind of analytics opportunities currently exist. During the course, the student learns to utilize advanced tools in data analysis and management reporting, e.g., Power BI.
