Meetings with your Tutor teacher. Lectures, exercises and discussions on topics related to the stages of studies and the professional growth of students.

The course runs for the whole academic year. Face-to-face meetings 2 times in the autumn semester and 3 times in the spring semester. 60% attendance is required for successful completion.

Contents

The course covers how to assess innovative or alternative future skills needs in user experience and user interface design, how to identify your own skills and development needs, how to plan your career path, professional terminology and how to make your skills visible when looking for a job.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

This course is part of the compulsory common studies for third-year bachelor's degree students of user interface and experience design.

Teaching takes place in face-to-face and remote sessions in two-hour periods. The course is delivered through discussion-based teaching, various exercises and essays.

Contents

The course focuses on identifying your own skills and strengths, study opportunities, skills development needs and career planning with these in mind. The course outlines professional identity, career goals, and alternative future competence needs in the field through various exercises. The students will practise making their own skills visible through oral, written and visual expression.
