Contents
Oral and written professional and business communication. Team discussions to practice negotiation skills. Readings about global business and global business communication. Homework and assignments based on the readings.
Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.
Strong English skills recommended. The course is taught at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This is equal to scoring 6 or 6.5 in the IELTS test or having been graded M or higher in English in the Finnish matriculation examination.

Implementation and methods of teaching
Weekly class meetings for lectures, discussions, workshop, and feedback. Blended learning methods will be applied where study materials are provided before the lecture. Individual and pair assignments will be provided on the course Moodle platform. No substitute assignments provided for missed assignments or contact lessons.
Lectures are held on campus and Zoom (hybrid).

80% class attendance required for full course marks. Written and oral activities are done during contact lessons.

Contents
This course will teach the student oral and written professional and business communication skills through contact lessons, reading, individual assignments, and one large pair assignment simulating a complete B2B transaction.
There will be team discussions to practice negotiation skills and practice meetings for business purposes. Reading materials concerning global business and global communication will be provided on Moodle.
Course grading is based on the simulated business interaction (pair project) and individual assignments related to other aspects of business communication. Course attendance and delivery of homework assignments will have an impact on course grading.
Assessment criteria
Coursework and assignments. The student must complete and submit all designated gradable assignments to pass the course. Late deliveries have a negative impact on grade. Grading: 0-5
