Proficiency level B1

The student is able to communicate in Russian in the most common work assignments in the social and health care field.

Implementation and methods of teaching

Language of instructions: Finnish and Russian. On-line course: On week 36 an info session by the teacher, the session will be recorded. After that students work totally independently.

Timing and attendance

Studying is completely independent and is not attached to any time slots.

Learning material and recommended literature

Provided materials on Moodle.

Exam retakes

The course is assessed on the basis of submitted obligatory assignments.

Vocabulary and situations in the field of welfare and medicine, related written and oral exercises. Information on health care in Russia.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

About three years of Russian studies at senior secondary school or equivalent skills.
CERF level: B1.1. Students speaking Russian as the mother tongue are not generally accepted to the course.

Continuous evaluation based on assignments.

Assessment criteria: assessment scale failed/approved

Pass
The student has achieved the learning outcomes of the course. The student understands spoken and written texts on the topics covered during the course and can communicate in the related situations using appropriate vocabulary.
Fail
The student has not achieved the learning outcomes of the course and cannot convey the intended spoken or written messages.
