A series of 10 online lectures which include group work. Teamwork outside of lectures to produce a business idea and a plan. For extra credit, taking part in a pitching session for which coaching will be provided.

Työelämäyhteistyö

Students can earn extra credits through the real-life project. This will require:
- Forming of the team;
- Creation of an AI-based entrepreneurship idea;
- Developing a business-model;
- Pitching the idea to a jury of experts, including entrepreneurs and business coaches.

Oppimisympäristö

The course materials and instructions will be on Moodle or linked therein, the lectures will be online and include group work with teacher guidance, an LLM of student’s choice (Copilot or ChatGPT, for example), teamwork for the course project, resources found on the Internet and a final seminar. If students participate in the extra credit work, learning environments include the pitching session and coaching for it.

Sisältö

The course consists of structured modules based on UNESCO AI Framework for Students, with topics including AI ethics and applications, with a business innovation-oriented approach. Each module involves online learning, discussions, and case studies.

Module 1: Introduction
Module 2: Human-Centered Mindset
Module 3: Ethics of AI
Module 4: AI Techniques and Applications
Module 5: AI System Design

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

- Understand fundamental AI concepts and their ethical implications;
- Apply AI techniques to real-world business problems;
- Critically analyze AI applications in various industries;
- Develop an entrepreneurial AI-based business idea;
- Present AI solutions in a professional business setting.

Arviointimenetelmät

Participation (intro, final seminar and four other sessions)
All topics should be covered and addresses in the report
For additional credits: face-to-face pitching the idea

Fail: Student has not participated in the minimum number of sessions or fails to contribute to the teamwork in a meaningful way. The course report does not cover the required topics in a meaningful way or is inconsistent.

Pass: The student is able to show the ability to utilize artificial intelligence in innovation while taking into account the ethics and law regarding such technologies.
