Osaamistavoitteet

Student is able to
-justify the purposes of different tools for systems thinking and strategic design in a sustainable futures process
-conduct a creative co-design process for a strategically emphasized, sustainable futures task
-combine systems thinking methods and strategic design thinking as a process for front-end sustainable development in a specified context

Toteutustapa ja opetusmenetelmät

The online course is presenting both systems thinking and future orientated strategic design applications and tools in sustainability. These will be studied through basics, methods and how they can be applied in practice by lectures, interactive group sessions, discussions and reading material. The students will rehearse how to use the methods in a joint, team based project and after the last lessons they will conduct an individual project that can be and application to a subject matter or case relating to the each students thesis work. The students need also to comment critically on other teams projects.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat

The project work in teams, commenting other teams work and individual project are compulsory part in the course. If the student is for justified reason unable to do the team project during the lessons they can cover it by collaborating or doing co-design through some other collaboration partners in their own circles.
