Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- analyse their and society's perception of human beings, attitudes and values in relation to mental health and addiction work
- follow the principles of recovery orientation in customer work
- comply with the legal basis for mental health and addiction work and key legislation
- justify the importance of comprehensive service counselling in mental health and addiction work
- apply psychosocial support in a client's change and crisis situations
- assess the significance of societal phenomena and power structures and their impact on the mental well-being and addiction issues of individuals and communities
- use research-based knowledge to promote clients' wellbeing and social inclusion
