Learning outcomes
The student is familiar with:
- the basics of software in their field
- creating digital presentation material
- using digital tools in their studies and assignments
Implementation and methods of teaching
The entire course is held as contact teaching and includes lectures, examples and work on course assignments.
Timing and attendance
The course consists of 10 contact teaching days. 70% attendance is required to complete the course.

Student time use and work load
The 135 working hours of the 5-credit course are divided as follows: contact teaching about 70 hours, independent work about 65 hours (about 2 weeks).
Contents
Basics of using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign software, basic concepts of visual software, basics of vector graphics, creating a PDF file, printing.

Passing this course is a prerequisite for many later study modules – failing to complete the course may limit your progress in your studies.

The mark will take into account performance in exercises and learning tasks, the working process, attendance and self-assessment.

Students will be given a fail mark if the attendance requirement is not met or if they have not achieved the learning outcomes of the course.
Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)
Students will know the basic concepts of digital software and the basics of using digital tools in their field. Understand the purpose of different software. Can produce digital presentation material.
Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)
The student will know the basic concepts of digital software and the basics of using digital tools in their field, as well as slightly more advanced functions. Understand the intended use of different software. Can produce technically sound digital presentations.
Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)
Students will have a broader understanding of the concepts of digital software and master the more advanced functions of digital tools in their field. In addition to the functions learnt in the course, students will be able to complete their software skills independently. The student will understand the purpose of the different software and will be able to choose the most appropriate software for the task. be able to produce technically high-quality digital presentations. The minimum attendance rate is 80%.
