Learning outcomes
The student knows the design principles of load-bearing structures, is able to determine
the loads on buildings and structures, is able to evaluate alternative load-bearing structural systems
suitable for a building and calculate the loads on structural components. The student knows the
principles of norm control in structural design. The student knows the basics of limit state analysis.
