Implementation and methods of teaching

The whole course is held as contact teaching and includes lectures, examples and work on course assignments.

Timing and attendance

A 70% attendance rate is required for successful completion.

Exam retakes

It is not possible to retake the course (there is no exam).

Student time use and work load

The 135 working hours of the 5-credit course are divided as follows: contact teaching about 65 hours, independent work about 70 hours (about 2 weeks).

Contents

Advanced features of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign software and using them as part of the design process.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Software and presentation techniques (Ohjelmistot ja esitystekniikat) must be completed.

Assessment criteria

The mark will take into account performance in exercises and learning tasks, the working process, attendance and self-assessment.

Students will be given a fail mark if the attendance requirement is not met or if they have not achieved the learning outcomes of the course.

Students will have a broader understanding of the use of digital tools in their field and will be able to use different software as part of the design process. Students will be able to search for information on the use of advanced features of design tools.

Students will have a broader understanding of the use of digital tools in their field and will be able to use different software as a natural part of the design process. Students will be able to search for information on the use of advanced features of design tools.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

Students will have a broader understanding of the use of digital tools in their field and will be able to confidently use different software as a natural part of the design process. Students will be able to search for information on the use of advanced features of design tools. The student will have a minimum attendance rate of 80%.
