• is able to tell about his/her skills
• understands short texts related to job search
• is able to communicate in situations related to job search.

Implementation and methods of teaching

This is an online course.
The exam is in the Exam room on campus.

Timing and attendance

The course will be organized during two periods.

Active participation in Zoom sessions is required. The course cannot be completed independently.

Period 1: Zoom sessions 14 x 2 h and independent studying 45 h

Contents

After this course the student
- can communicate in short social situations in working life and is familiar with the basic vocabulary of typical working day
- is familiar with the education system in Finland and can tell about his / her own education and skills in informal situations
- is familiar with the main stages of the job search process in Finland.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Finnish 4 or equivalent skills.

Assessment criteria

Continuous evaluation
Exam in the first and second period in the Exam room.
Assignments to be assessed in the second period.
