Learning outcomes

Student is able to
- identify the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in commercialization
- apply analytics in the development of commercialization strategies
- evaluate and develop AI-based solutions for commercialization purposes

Implementation and methods of teaching

Implementation as online teaching, preliminary assignment to get familiar with the topic, lectures+discussions and development assignment studying independently or as a team.

Timing and attendance

Online lectures in weeks 45, 48 and final seminar in week 50, Wednesday evenings 17:00-20:30.

Material to be distributed during lectures.

Working life cooperation

The development task is carried out as a work assignment.

Learning environment

Lectures, preliminary assignment and development assignment. Implementation online.

27 hours of student work per credit = 135 hours of studies for this course

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Completing the course does not require previous studies, but working life experience in business development should be present.
Lectures are on November 5 and November 26, 2025, the final seminar is on December 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Assessment criteria

Based on the YAMK assessment framework, which is applied to the completion of the internship, and the results.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student has successfully completed the course objectives. He/she is able to utilize analytics and artificial intelligence in commercialization, create a plan and is able to evaluate the results obtained.

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student has achieved the course objectives well. He/She can create a plan for commercialization using analytics and artificial intelligence. He/She can evaluate a commercialization strategy and produce a written and visual strategy report.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student has achieved the course objectives excellently. He/she is able to prepare a plan and strategy for commercialization using analytics and artificial intelligence. He/she is able to evaluate a commercialization strategy using the PESTEL model, and produce a written and visual strategy report with an implementation plan.
