Learning outcomes

• comply with environmental health care legislation, operating systems and programmes as well as the principles of sustainable development and promote their implementation in public health nursing
• distinguish between threatening global, national and local environmental factors and factors challenging the health, safety and functional capacity of people of different ages
• promote factors that maintain and strengthen health and an accessible environment, work in cooperation with environmental health care actors, and provide information on the responsibilities and obligations of public health nurses
• prevent, identify and treat accidents involving people of different ages and provide and guide the administration of first aid
