Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- perform targeted examinations according to the patient's various symptoms
- interpret the findings made and the measurement results obtained from the patient
- understand the basics of patient interviewing
- understand the basics of reporting / documentation
- combine theoretical knowledge (anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology) with the patient's symptoms and findings and deduce the occupational diagnosis

Objectives:
The student is able to systematically examine the patient by means of initial and detailed assessment (Dr ABC, ABCDEF methods).
To carry out paramedic work in teams according to an agreed division of roles.
The student will be able to use emergency medical examination equipment appropriately and safely
Be able to target the examination according to the patient's complaint or finding
Understand the impact of the information obtained from the interview and examination on the patient's condition and suggest a correct working diagnosis based on symptoms and findings
The student will be able to assign NEWS/PHEWS scores to the patient based on findings
Implement non-technical methods (communication, checklists and checklists) and understand their importance for patient and occupational safety
be able to interpret the ECG systematically and identify life-threatening arrhythmias and hypoxia
