Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with different business relationships in international value networks, management of relationships and networks, and characteristics of supplier relationships and collaborative networks. Upon completion the course students are able to - understand the main concepts and theoretical backgrounds of collaboration and networks - analyze the benefits and challenges of relationships and networks - define supplier relationships - participate in the development of supplier supplier relationships.

Implementation and methods of teaching

Moodle-based online course (no contact teaching, but the teacher contacts the students via Moodle messages every week). Student driven content creation and discussion. Watching the educational videos; reading assignments| case assignment including written report and video presentation on the case solution in small groups| watching presentations of other groups in Moodle and peer feedback (personal task), 100 h. Moodle quizzes and preparing for quizzes (personal tasks), 60 h. Total workload for a student 160 h. 2nd and 4th period. NB! If the course is organized as a summer course, then the case assignment is done by each student independently, however, no video presentation and no peer feedback assignment.

Selection of journal articles and assigned readings, teaching videos and presentations.

Assessment criteria

Grade 0-5, evaluation 0-100 points. Case assignment and video presentation in small groups 40 %, personal Moodle quizzes 50%, personal peer feedback assignments 10%. All the tasks must be passed (i.e., at least 50% from max points of each assignment) to obtain final grade. NB! If the course is organized as a summer course, then the evaluation is 50% Moodle quizzes and 50% case assignment.
