Osaamistavoitteet

The student:
- understands the whole of the parts of a building and their main functions
- knows different options and general requirements for the outer shell (envelope), surfaces and non-load bearing structures as well as the complementary building components
- understands the concepts of fire safety in buildings and the principles of moisture insulation
- is familiar with the general drawing markings
- knows the basics of computer-aided designing.

In addition, the course includes AutoCAD section with self-paced exercises

The exercise work, the given CAD-assignments and the course exam must be passed with approval to complete the course. Lesson assignments must be returned by the given deadline. Lesson assignments give you points that affect the grade.

Return of the exercise work by the deadline. If returning after this date, the return must be agreed separately with the teacher. Late returns affect the review.

Assignments and exercises are instructed in lectures.

Attendance is compulsory for the first classes (instructions for completing the course), if you do not attend the classes for the first 2nd time or provide a justified reason for the absence, the student will be removed from the course.

Sisältö

The student understands the whole formed by the parts of the building and their central functions.
- The student knows the options for the outer shell, surfaces and non-load-bearing structures, as well as complementary building parts.
- The student understands the most important concepts of fire safety in buildings and the principles of moisture insulation.

CAD-part
The student:

- Understand the principles and tools of CAD design.
- Knows the basics of AutoCAD design and can produce, modify and print plans.
