Learning outcomes

The student will be able to
- perform with confidence, assurance and purpose in different languages, taking into account the requirements of the communicative situation and environment
- discuss and argue convincingly in interaction situations
- work as a member of multicultural groups
- use a wide range of basic principles and techniques of spoken communication.

Timing and attendance

Periods 3-4 in spring 2024.
Contact lessons once-twice a week, altogether 15 double lessons (+ Swedish).
Attendance and active participation is required when working on interaction and oral communication skills.

The materials are provided on Moodle or handed out during lessons.

- Swedish: Svenska i arbestlivet (samhälle), muntlig 1 ECTS

Contact lessons 42 hours

There are contact lessons once a week. Active participation is essential, as classroom interaction and cooperation is difficult to compensate for. The main teaching language in period 3 is Finnish, while period 4 is mainly taught in English and integrated with Food systems.
In addition to the weekly lesson, there are Swedish lessons approximately every two weeks.

- integration of English studies and topics from Food systems
