- solve geometric and trigonometric problems
- knows bacis of vectors in plane

Implementation and methods of teaching

This course has online lectures.

The course is structured so that it can be studied at your own pace. It is possible to pass the course just solving exercises but higher grades (3-5) requires enough points from applied test. Applied test can can be only once, but the date can be your own choice (before end of course).

Lectures are on Mondays and Thursdays at 12:15am - 1.45pm.

Learning material and recommended literature

All material will be in moodle.

Alternative completion methods

Will be informed at the beginning of the course.

Learning environment

The course consists of contact teaching and individual work. We use the Moodle environment.

Contents

- Manipulating expressions

- 2D vectors

Assessment scale

1-5

Failed (0)

The student can not solve mathematical problems posed by the teacher. Less than 33% from maximum scores.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student knows the methods the methods of 2d geometry and 2d vectors, and is able to solve simple mechanical problems

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student understands the requirements of 2d geometry and 2d vectors, and is able to apply basic mathematics in engineering. Less than 57% from maximum scores.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student masters the methods of 2d geometry and 2d vectors and is able to analyse mathematical tasks in engineering without problems. At least 83% from maximum scores.
