Learning outcomes

The student is able to:
- present the results or output of their thesis
- report on their thesis in writing in accordance with the thesis guidelines of LAB University of Applied Sciences
- write a maturity test.

Implementation and methods of teaching

• Finishing the job. Summary and evaluation seminars. Participation in an exhibition.

• Lab thesis manual.

Alternative completion methods

• In exceptional cases, this will be agreed with the supervising teachers.

Working life cooperation

• Individual theses may be carried out in cooperation with working life partners. The construction of an exhibition may also involve cooperation with the working world.

• Campus, showrooms.

Student time use and work load

• The thesis design component is 5 credits, equivalent to approximately 135 hours of student work (one credit 27 hours).

Contents

• At this stage of the course, the thesis has progressed to the finalisation and publication stage.
In the synthesis seminar, permission will be given to participate in the public evaluation.

The written part will be finalised, used in Turnitin and submitted to the assessors. The artwork will be finalised for the exhibition and, in the case of a dummy for a photo book, for example, will be submitted to the evaluators. The judges will have access to the exhibition work in advance in the form of a pdf of the photo booklet that will be sent to them.

Each student will be involved in the construction of the exhibition, its publicity, etc.

One or more external assessors will be invited to the assessment session. The teachers who supervised the work in the seminars will also take part in the evaluation. The communication teachers will give a written opinion on the written part of the work.'

The student uploads the completed, assessed and approved work to Theseus.
Students will take the maturity test as informed by the supervising teacher.
