Learning outcomes

The student is able to:
- implement the thesis on the basis of an approved thesis plan.

Implementation and methods of teaching

• Seminars and personal feedback. Students' own work.

Timing and attendance

• The thesis course is spread over two semesters: the end of the autumn semester and the beginning of the spring semester. The credits are awarded in the spring semester.

The seminars are compulsory.

• Lab thesis manual

Alternative completion methods

• Only agreed with the supervising teachers in exceptional cases.

Working life cooperation

• Individual theses can be carried out in cooperation with working life (companies, public bodies, etc.).

• Campus, Zoom.

Student time use and work load

• The implementation part of the thesis is 5 credits, corresponding to approximately 135 hours of student work (one credit 27 hours).

Contents

• The thesis course consists of an artistic production and a report, their supervision and exchange seminars. The supervision sessions will monitor the progress of the thesis and reflect on its direction between the supervising teachers and the students working on the thesis.

The artistic production and the writing of the report run in parallel in the work process.

Assessment criteria

• Accepted performance requires active participation in the seminar, tutoring and guidance.

Competency-based assessment:
The student is able to carry out the thesis based on an approved thesis plan.

At this stage, the mid-term evaluation of the thesis will take place orally in seminars.

Failed (0)

• The work does not progress from the planning stage to implementation. The student does not attend seminars.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

• The numerical evaluation of the thesis will only take place upon publication. The Lab thesis guidelines contain a separate evaluation table for this purpose.
