• implement and direct the performance of the most important measures in first aid

Implementation and methods of teaching

The course is delivered through an orientation session and with guiding-/practise sessions. During the course, students will work in small groups to design a guidance/teaching situation for a single advanced level emergency care intervention based on researched knowledge and reliable sources of information. During the guidance/teaching days, students will take turns to guide other students in the guidance/teaching grid of a nursing emergency procedure they have prepared and will rotate through the guidance/teaching grids held by other students.

In the guidance/teaching grid, students also provide peer feedback on the content and delivery of the grid.

After the tutorials, the student will take a practical test in which he/she will perform one advanced level intervention based on a pre-test assessment. After the demonstration test, the student will take an Exam.
