Implementation and methods of teaching

Duuniexpo is a recruitment and networking fair organised by LAB students in Lahti. DuuniExpo will be held for the 15th time in 2023. In recent years, the fair has attracted between 3000 and 5000 visitors and 70-100 exhibitors, making it a regionally significant event.
The project offers a wide range of tasks and you can participate in the team that interests you most and where you want to develop your professional skills. The teams will work on the following aspects of organising the event:

- Planning and implementing the event programme
- Staff management
- Planning and monitoring the event's finances
- Marketing and graphic design
- Marketing and corporate relations
- Facility planning
- Security and safety
- Project management

Timing and attendance

The project requires commitment to the work and meetings of the project team and your own team. In the autumn, the whole project team will meet every two weeks on Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m. In addition, the teams formed (e.g. the marketing team) will meet according to their own schedule.

Regulations relating to the organisation of the event.
Material to be distributed on the course Moodle website.
Material produced by the students themselves.

Alternative completion methods

Cooperation with businesses in the region is a key part of the project. The aim is to involve a wide range of actors and speakers from different sectors. The DuuniExpo fair aims to bring together businesses and students in the region, enabling dialogue and networking.

A separate certificate will also be written for the student, e.g. as an attachment to his/her CV.

The course does not include an exam.

Learning environment

The aim of the project is to put into practice what has been learned in the courses. The students involved in the project will plan and implement the DuuniExpo fair and evaluate the success of the fair afterwards using various indicators.
