Learning outcomes

The studentknows how to usetherapy skills and how toinstruct the client in orderto supportthem in their self-care and ability to function. The student is able to utilize the existingknowledge when planning and implementing the content of the therapy.The student deepens their knowledge in therapy skills.

Implementation and methods of teaching

The student applies therapy skills and teaching and counselling in supporting client's functional capacity and self-managed rehabilitation. The student uses research and evidence based methods in planning and implementing physiotherapy. The student deepens his/her competences in therapy skills.

Reflective diary. Cases. Simulations.

Timing and attendance

Active participation in the coaching sessions in class and on-line. Active participation in team work with other students. The content is clarified in the beginning of the course.

Learning material and recommended literature

Suitable scientific material and articles about physiotherapy. Material in Moodle platform.

Learning environment

Online. Coaching sessions in Lahti and Lappeenranta.

Contents

Students choose the themes they work on and teacher offers coaching for student teams.

The student is able to present the scientific base for his/her physiotherapy plan. The student is participating actively and shows excellent skills in the tasks.
