Learning outcomes
The student is able to
-describe typical production methods in its field
- having regard to the various requirements for production methods and materials in the design of the product
-is able to assess the consistency of economic efficiency and material efficiency of production in the clothing sector through analyses and indicators from the perspective of sustainable development.
- understands the principles and functions of the circular economy, is able to apply and identify circular economy business models and opportunities in the clothing sector.

Student is able to
- create a professional portfolio for different purposes
- use a portfolio as a means of developing their professional profiles
- assess other professionals' portfolios
- use a portfolio as a promotional tool
Timing and attendance
Building competence requires active presence throughout the course. 80% attendance. Attendance is compulsory at the start and end of the course. The daily schedule of the course is announced at the start of the course.
Student time use and work load
On average, 5 x 27h = 135h of work are required to achieve the desired level of competence. The total number of hours is divided into classroom teaching and independent work.
Contents
For Wearable Design students.
The course introduces the means of presenting one's professional competence in a high-quality way, as well as the importance of the portfolio as a tool to showcase one's competence. During the course, students will develop and articulate their own professional identity. The student will create a layout for their professional portfolio, and will learn about visual and textual means of presenting one's own skills and visual style.
Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.
No prior knowledge required. Before starting the course, it is a good idea to collect visual material that you want to present in your portfolio.
Assessment criteria
Active attendance in the course, and successful completion and return of the assigned learning tasks according to the timetable.

A fail grade is given when the student has not achieved the learning objectives of the course, or has not been able to demonstrate their competence. If the requested assignments are not returned after the end of the course.
