Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- to apply digital tools in circular economy development projects
- to act as a responsible member of the team and use digital / online tools in project management
- to make a practical project and present results in a form of a digital online publication

Implementation and methods of teaching

This course is divided to 2 parts:

- A one week Bio-based battle course organized by NHL University of Applied Sciences, for which the students will receive 2 credits. Students will work in a multidisciplinary groups with students from different universities in Finland and the Netherlands.

- A project work offered by the teacher or student's work place. This counts as 3 credits.

Timing and attendance

The course starts in March from 18th-24th.
Participation is obligatory for the bio-based battle week.

Learning material and recommended literature

The material for the bio-based battle will be provided during that week by NHL.

For the project, the material and support will be provided by the teacher according to the project requirements and students' needs.

Alternative completion methods

Should be discussed with the teacher.

Working life cooperation

Students will work on the real case company challenges.
