Learning outcomes

The student knows
- practices of public art
- current forms of competition and contractual practices
- recognizes the place of public art as part of society and knows its history
- evaluate the operating environment of the artist and the client

Implementation and methods of teaching

The course consists of various lectures and assignments. Lectures are given by experts in the field.
Teaching will be delivered by distance learning.

Contents

The course covers the different models of public art, current forms of competition, contractual practices and copyright, as well as the history of public art in Finland.
You will learn about the history of public art both in Finland and abroad.
Learning about the place of public art in society, new opportunities.
