This is an online course completed on the Moodle platform.
Completing the course involves individual study, exercises, and quizzes/tests.
Moodle course platform opens on 17 January 2024.

The workload is spread evenly throughout the course (approximately 80 hours).

Contents

Revision of essential grammar: verbs, nouns, sentence structure, etc.
Vocabulary development.
Speaking/conversation skills.

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

The course is targeted to students whose grade for English at matriculation exam was lower than C, or students who have not studied in senior high school (lukio), or whose level of English is below B1 according to the Common European Framework. The course is taught at the B1.2/B2.1 level. This course cannot be included in compulsory language studies.

Assessment criteria

Written and spoken assignments and tests are completed successfully as specified by the teacher. The course is graded pass/fail.
