Implementation and methods of teaching
Online course.
Timing and attendance
Online course. An Info session on Zoom on January 16 at 16.15. The students will get an email with more information. Exercises, assignments and tests to complete through Moodle according to the time plan. A Moodle exam in week 10. The instructions are all in Finnish.

Self-study materials and assignments on Moodle.

3 x 27 hours, the workload is spread evenly during the course
Contents
- revision of essential grammar: verbs, nouns, sentence structure, adjectives and prepositions
Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.
The course is targeted to students whose grade for English at matriculation exam was lower than C, or students who have not studied in senior high school (lukio) or whose level of English is below B1 according to the Common European Framework. The course is taught at level B1.2/B2.1. This course cannot be included in compulsory language studies. The instructions on Moodle are in Finnish.

Written assignments, tests and exam are completed successfully as specified by the teacher.

The student has a good command of the course content. The student can deliver everyday messages clearly in writing; possible problems with grammar and vocabulary do not hinder communication.
