Students are be able to
- use Russian verbs in the past, present and future tenses
- recognize the imperfective and perfective verbs
- recognize the Russian cases and use them in a variety of phrases

Implementation and methods of teaching

Language of instructions: Finnish, English and Russian.
Online course: students work totally independently. All assignments should be completed by the deadline.

Grammar recap course.
Seven grammar exercise packages. Improving and developing knowledge of grammar, especially the use of the Russian verbs (Past, Present, Future tenses, aspects), cases in Russian texts (singular and plural nouns, adjectives and pronouns in the nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, instrumental and prepositional).

Additional information for students: previous knowledge etc.

Venäjä/Russian 4 or equivalent skills. Students speaking Russian as the mother tongue are not generally accepted to the course.
CERF level: minimum A2.1.

Continuous assessment based on online assignments.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

1 - The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at a minimum acceptable level. The student can interact satisfactorily both orally and in writing in communicative situations studied during the course. The student can limitedly use the achieved knowledge in new situations.

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

3 - The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at a good level. The student can interact quiet fluently both orally and in writing in communicative situations studied during the course. The student can use the achieved knowledge in new situations with some limitations.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

5 - The student has reached the learning outcomes of the course at an excellent level. The student can fluently interact both orally and in writing in various communicative situations. The student can confidently use the achieved knowledge in new situations.?
