Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- use the workshops in a safe manner, follow rules and instructions and justify her/his actions with given instructions
- with guidance use the most common tools and devices as well as techniques in the workshop
- manufacture the given assignments under supervision.

Implementation and methods of teaching

The course is primarily intended for TEMU23S students.

The course is implemented as guided workshop work, during which predefined practice tasks are implemented. During the course, the most commonly used machines and equipment of the Wood and Metal Workshop are presented with the help of examples, as well as their safe way of working, and the use of the machines is practiced

Timing and attendance

On the first day, the group is divided into half a wood and metal workshop. After the next six days, the groups change workshops.

Wood and metal workshop mandatory for the first three times. Otherwise attendance obligation 80%
The lesson starts at 9:15 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m

Assessment criteria: assessment scale failed/approved

The student knows how to use the most common machines and equipment in a wood and metal workshop safely
Knows how to take care of the workshop environment and a safe way of working.
Able to prepare exercise tasks under guidance.
