Student is able to
- describe online order-delivery process
- recognize e-commerce distribution channels and warehousing models
- recognize the benefits of last-mile thinking
- recognize and compare different consumer delivery options
- recognize best online business operators in the field and their competitive advantages
- name latest trends and technologies connected to e-commerce

Implementation and methods of teaching

The course includes on campus lectures in Lahti, online/video lectures, topics to discuss on lectures, searching for materials from sources, presentations of group or individual work.

Timing and attendance

Attention is highly recommended, learning is easier and more interesting when attending to lectures and to discussions.
Compulsory lectures are mentioned on lectures and in Moodle.

Learning material and recommended literature

Materials from lectures will be provided to Moodle.
All assignments are compulsory in order to pass the course. Assignments are individual and group work, some of the work will be presented on lectures.

Exam retakes

No exam, only way to manage the course is to submit the assignments mentioned in Moodle and on lectures.

Assessment criteria

Group work and individual work will be grated either pass / fail or with grades 1-5. Activity on lectures has a positive effect on grade.

Student can define and manage processes of online logistics. Student knows how to apply concepts of online logistics in the field of business.
