Learning outcomes

The student
- is able to describe the main principles of circular economy and identifies the importance of resource efficiency as a part of the concept of circular economy
- is able to demonstrate the life cycle analysis and its principles
- is able to evaluate the environmental impacts of products and processes during their life cycle and develops opportunities to decrease them
- is able to analyse and identify means to improve material and energy efficiency in different environments and urban areas

- knows the principles of the circular economy (CE)
- knows the differences and interdependence between technical and biological circulation
- understands the principles of chemistry and its role in CE
- is able to analyse an enterprise's responsibility from the CE perspective

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student
- knows the principles of the circular economy (CE) and is able to discuss them
- knows the differences and interdependence between technical and biological circulation and is able to point out examples
- understands the principles of chemistry and its role in CE, and is able to explain a case/cases
- is able to analyse an enterprise's responsibility from the CE approach and justify opinions on it

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

The student
- knows the principles of the circular economy (CE) and is able to discuss about them, express opinions in an analytical way
- knows the differences and interdependence between technical and biological circulation and is able to point out examples
- understands the principles of chemistry and role in the CE and is able to explain a case/cases with deep knowledge
- is able to analyse an enterprise's responsibility from the CE perspective and justify opinions using relevant literature sources
