Student needs to have three practical placement completed before entering into the thesis work.

Pass:
student has returned an approved proposal for thesis topic
student has made thesis plan that follows the LAB thesis guidelines and take in consideration the field specific features like ethical issues and research permits.

Failed:
student has not returned an approved proposal or the thesis plan doesn't meet the LAB instructions.

Assessment criteria: assessment scale failed/approved

Approved:
student has returned an approved proposal for thesis topic
