Contents

Topics of relevance to the paramedic profession, for example, getting around the hospital, health interviews, anatomical words, nursing procedures, various symptoms and illnesses, medication and treatment methods, patient education.

Assessment criteria

Continuous assessment. Spoken and written assignments completed by deadline and accepted.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

Grade 1: The student has a satisfactory knowledge of the course content. The student can perform in communicative situations in English and can speak and write acceptable English

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

Grade 3: The student has a good command of the course content. The student can perform well in varied communicative situations and can speak and write easy-to-understand English.

Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)

Grade 5: The student has an excellent command of the course content. The student can perform well and in a professional manner in varied communicative situations and write easy-to-read professional English.
