Proficiency level: B2
The student is able to:
- describe the phonetic features of English
- understand the effects and importance of intonation and stress
- apply intonation and stress in their own speech
- know the phonemes of English and how to practice pronunciation independently
- understand and identify the differences between various accents and dialects of English.
Implementation and methods of teaching
Students will study the course material independently and submit assignments through Moodle. The course will require students to record their speech and to submit it to Moodle.
