The student can speak and write Finnish in everyday situations.

Implementation and methods of teaching

- Blended learning. Spoken and written exercises online via zoom and moodle. Student is also required to study independently before each class.

The course content:

- greetings
- introduction and personal details
- questions and answers
- numbers and alphabet
- countries, languages, nationalities
- pronunciation
- genitive case
- telling about one’s everyday life
- food and drink
- shopping, restaurant and café
- time expressions
- verb types 1–5
- partitive case.
- finnish culture and society
