Learning outcomes

The students will
- understand speech and texts related to occupations, work and job search
- are able to tell about themselves and their skills
- are able communicate in basic situations related to job search.

Implementation and methods of teaching

Online meetings 1 to 2 times per week: oral exercises in pairs and teams.
Independent study: reading and listening comprehension, vocabulary, writing and grammar exercises as well as information search assignments.

Timing and attendance

Contents

The students will be able to understand texts related to occupations and tasks at work as well as job advertisements. They will be able to tell about their skills and to write a simple cv. They will be acquainted with features of German working life.

The students will increase the command of basic structures: modal verbs in simple past, reflexisive verbs, subordinate clauses (dass) and adjective declination.

- written exam: 0 to 5
- oral exam or grade based on continuous assessment*: pass / fail (*precondition for continuous assessment: active participation in 75 percent of the classes)
