The student is able to
- utilize various learning opportunities in curriculum
- recognize and aim their own competences to be in level with the future career requirements
- create a study plan that supports the future career goal
- give feedback on tuition and services and thus participate in the development of education

Toteutustapa ja opetusmenetelmät

DPC is a 5 ECTS course which runs throughout students' studies (DPC 1, DPC 2 and DPC 3). The sessions will be taught in the classroom. Through these sessions students will receive guidance on study related matters and students will have the opportunity to raise any concerns and provide feedback. This course also includes personal study planning sessions with the tutor teacher.

In addition, this course will introduce students to the following:

• how to plan their own learning
• how to identify themselves as a learner and develop their own learning skills
• ability to recognize their own competence and develop their career path
• how to act as a group member
• how to operate in the learning environment of LAB
• knowledge of their own field of studies and its future skills
• how to participate in the development of education at LAB by providing feedback on tuition and services
• knowledge of working life in Finland

Ajoitus ja läsnäolo

These DPC sessions are compulsory and students failing to attend will receive an extra assignment.

In addition the personal study planning sessions are also compulsory.

Arviointimenetelmät

The sessions are compulsory and students must attend and participate in all DPC sessions as well as the personal study planning sessions.
