Learning outcomes
Student
- knows the structure of the legal framework of the International Business.
- is able to apply International Business rules and is familiar with International Business law principles, law makers and participants.
- is able to use the correct legal terminology, draft and communicate with legal experts as well as to seek information on legal aspects of international business.
- is able to apply international business law concepts fluently and the student is able to draft good international trade contracts.
Implementation and methods of teaching
The course is composed of three workshops (25.3., 15.4. and 6.5.). During those days new topics will be lectured, introduced and workshopped as to prepare for the assignments that will follow,
Predeadings of current global business law related issues will be published in early March 2021. They will be discussed on 25.3. both in zoom and zoom breakout rooms.
The course assignment will be given from international trade related topics.
Additionally, course participants will do two Moodle exams (introduction on 15.4. and 6.5.):
- international business law framework
- International contract law
Timing and attendance
The course will be delivered in period 4, 2021.
Instructor will accept the participants in start of period 4 and Moodle platform will be opened at the same time.
Before our first contact date 25.3. prereadings will be given and student will prepare opening session according to instructions.

Alternative completion methods
Course ca be passed by delivering on assignment and two Moodle exams (all Moodle based work).
Additionally, if student has not participated in the 25.3. workshop, additional assignment will follow.

- International trade organizations (WTO, ICC, UNCITRAL, WIPO and more)

Student should have basic knowledge of international business framework and it's functions.

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)
Student has improved the basic knowledge of international business law. Student knows the main organizations, knows the main concepts of international business law and is able to draft basic international trade contracts.
Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)
Student has good knowledge of international business law. Student knows the purpose and functions of the main organizations, and is able to apply the main concepts of international business law. Student knows how to draft good international trade contracts.
Assessment criteria: level 5 (assessment scale 1–5)
Student has excellent knowledge of international business law and it's application in various situations. Student knows very well the purpose and functions of the main organizations, and is able to apply international business law concepts fluently. Student is able to draft good international trade contracts.
