Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- participate in various roles in the event hub, which provides an environment where the r&di and problem solving space of the university tackles real life experience management projects.
- participate R&D –projects, utilize the knowledge and tools acquired in Research based development –course, and also use the own experience and understanding of real challenges in organizations.

Implementation and methods of teaching

Independent work and/or working in a team.
Course briefings in Zoom, Project meetings (guidance) on Zoom or other web-based system.

Timing and attendance

The course briefing session takes place on every month. It is recommended to attend at least one session.The student can start the course at any time of the year (until 30.4.2023).

Alternative completion methods

Event Hub is a project course. There are no alternative ways to complete this course.
You can complete the course in English or in Finnish (if you are studying in Degree Programme in Finnish).

Contents

Are you looking for a new career? Would you like to test, formalize and promote your competencies in a totally new environment? Maybe Research & Development world provides you a new path in working life?

In Event Hub, the student is able to participate in various roles in the event hub, which provides an environment where RDI (Research, Development and Innovations) and the problem solving space of the university tackles real life experience management projects.

In this course you can either:

1) participate ongoing R&D projects in various roles (in LAB or in a case organization)
2) participate on preparation of national or international level R&D project
3) design, offer and implement a development project in a case organization

In all project types, you can utilize the knowledge and tools acquired in Research based development –course, and also use the own experience and understanding of real challenges in organizations.

Students can work as individuals, pairs or in small groups (depending on the project).
