Learning outcomes
The student is able to
- describe the basics of injection moulding and extrusion
- describe even some less common manufacturing techniques
- describe the behaviour of polymer materials in different conditions and processes
- identify how different techniques are used to meet the set requirements and what materials can be processed using different techniques
- determine the process variables of different techniques and how these affect the end product
- estimate the cost structure of the main processing techniques and determine economical sizes of manufacturing series for the most common techniques
