Contents
Course content: Information about Finland, Finnish way of life, culture and society; basic vocabulary and grammar such as local cases, as well as various phrases; asking, advising, and understanding instructions.

Attendance and participation in the class; assignments, tasks, exam

Student is able perform individual tasks according to instructions
Student can communicate in common everyday situations in Finnish and knows the most common vocabulary and phrases used in social intercourse
Student's target language communication skills and cultural knowledge are limited compared to the content of the course
Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)
Student is able to perform in typical tasks/situations in different environments
Student is able to some extent to act in Finnish community and study stage in Finnish
Student's target language communication skills and cultural knowledge are good with regard to the content of the course
