Learning outcomes

The student is able to
- demonstrate the importance and influence of political and administrative systems to urban change management
- evaluate the context for change and design appropriate strategies to aid its management in practice
- demonstrate reflection on the emerging role of the urban professional as an 'agent of change' and their own personal development requirements

Assessment criteria: level 1 (assessment scale 1–5)

Student
- Is able to describe the basics of urban complexity and challenges of urban planning as well as the basics of the ongoing transformation of urban functions and infrastructure
- is able to explain the climate change impact on urban environment
-is able to describe the main principles of resource efficient cities and identify some solutions and practices
- is able to connect digitalization ideas with the urban change
- applies basics of change management (CM)

Assessment criteria: level 3 (assessment scale 1–5)

Student
- is able to describe and analyse the basics of urban complexity and challenges of urban planning as well as identify in the concrete urban environment the ongoing transformation of urban functions and infrastructure
- is able to explain what is the climate change impact on urban environment
and make a case comparison
-is able to describe the main principles of resource efficient cities and identify and discuss solutions and practices
- is able to present digitalization cases, ideas and practices related to urban change management
- applies different aspects of change management (CM)
